A mystical place in my opinion... but not so easy to find at the moment because the path there is covered with leaves

At the moment the path is difficult to see due to the fallen leaves. Stone men and signs on trees make the search easier

The cellar is possibly related to the remains of the wall of the "Heppenheimer Hütte" on the Lindenstein. This hut was built in 1910 by the Odenwald Club and was a popular place for excursions until it was destroyed in World War II.

Marble was quarried here. Auerbach marble, a metamorphic rock, occurs in a strip about two kilometers long in the Odenwald, south of Hochstädten near Auerbach. Auerbacher marble is important in terms of architectural history because it played a role as a stone and there are few occurrences in Germany. It is believed to have been mined in Roman times.

The Waldbrudershütte is a prominent rock overhang on the edge of the Ulfenbach valley near Hirschhorn in southern Hesse. The remote place probably once served as a hermit's dwelling. There is a historic rock painting in the rock face. ... The figure in the rock can only be partially recognized today, as the rock was damaged twice by vandalism in the 1960s.
