The two ponds with paths (the northern one is Dr. Johannes Kroker Weg, south of the Higher Regional Court (OLG) in Hamm) are popularly known as Ahsepark and OLG Park. As of March 6, 2024, the OLG Park was upgraded with five fitness machines for legs, shoulders, and abdominal muscles. The "mirror of the sky" is the (very overgrown and easy to miss) pond on top of the slag heap. The fact that it is not a highlight in itself can be seen from the pictures, which almost all show something else, and the comments, which write about something else. It's a shame - the idea of a pond up here is good - but unfortunately it doesn't work

Where the site of the closed Maximilian colliery used to be, the state horticultural show was held in 1984 and the Maximilianpark was created on this basis. There is a children's playland, a butterfly house, many walking paths and a rich program of events. You can also see Hamm's landmark, the glass elephant, in the park. The Maximilian Halle is the main entrance to Maximilianpark in Hamm and also the largest building there. There are also various tours. There are also many events for young and old. You can also have a civil wedding in the glass elephant.
