Beware! Even if you take the longer route and climb the ladder, you'll have to pay €15 at the gate on your way back! A third of that amount would have been enough... It's a rip-off. Therefore, I don't recommend it.

The Church of St. Nicholas of Kotor (Serbian: Црква светог Николе) is a church of the Serbian Orthodox Church built from 1902 to 1909 in the city of Kotor, Montenegro. We hiked the stairs on May 31st. There were beautiful views on the way up—even if some people feel the need to throw their trash into the corners. The whole thing would be so much more beautiful without the trash. Kudos to the people selling chilled(!) drinks in the last third and at the very top. There's no elevator or cable car to transport the equipment there. We wouldn't want to hike the trail in the rain—the stones next to the stairs are very slippery.
