There are a few public beaches dotted around Lake Sevan, but they're not obvious unless you know where they are. This is the closest one to the monastery of Sevanavank and a good place for a dip on a hot day of cycling!

The Dilijan Hikers Hostel owners Tom and Tenny are incredibly kind and interested in their guests and helped us: plan several amazing bicycling adventures, reserve transportation with our bikes in a minivan, and use gg to go to Yerevan for a few days ( while they hung on to our bicycles for us!) . They did all of this with the utmost good humor, patience, sweetness, and interest. They are an amazing source of trail and road knowledge ( Tom wrote the guidebook!!). If that isn't enough, while we were there, we also met inspiring hikers and bicyclists. Of course the hostel also has everything you'd want at a hostel -- and done well-- including an always clean kitchen and bathroom with plenty of everything, the comfiest hostel beds I've ever met, outlets, lockers, laundry, etc.

Normally open at 11am, you might find the owners there and willing to feed you after 10am. Besides the two tables at the road, there is a nice garden with wooden tables in the backyard.

Very mild and scenic ascent from Dilijan to the village of Semyonovka. I would not trade for it the faster tunnel ever.
