The small village south of Lagoa seems to cling to the cliffs surrounding the curved bay. The light blue water on the beach sparkles. The Benagil Cave, also known as the Cathedral by the locals, is a small demonstration of the strength of the waves that regularly hit the rocky coast of southern Portugal.

A tourist "must" if you are in Carvoeiro. Really worth seeing caves and rock formations. In May and the end of September the rush of visitors is also limited. There is a small bar, but only a few parking spaces - better to use the well-developed path (wooden planks) from Carvoeiro.

Praia do Carvalho - is something special. The access via tunnels and stairs is unique.
