Didn’t stop there this time, we arrived a little early, looked great, we’d already checked the menu.

As cafés go this one is sub-par. The coffee is pretty grim as is the carrot cake, and the queue was long.

Day's Lock is a lock on the River Thames near Dorchester-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England on the Dorchester side of the river. The pound lock was built in 1789 by the Thames Navigation Commissioner. The lock is across the river from the small village of Little Wittenham and is overlooked from the south by the hills of Wittenham Clumps, with a particularly good view from Round Hill. The weir runs straight across the river from the other side of the lock island. Day's Lock is the main gauging station for the measurement of the water flow in the River Thames.

Lovely place to stop for a coffee but beware long queues at the coffee hut, always seem to be understaffed in my experience.

Roundhill Campsite is situated on the picturesque woodland road crossing Lodge Heath, between Beaulieu and Brockenhurst. It’s a great base for those wanting to explore the New Forest National Park as it has access to miles of walking and cycle tracks.

Fantastic campsite!! Loved the compost toilets! Really quiet and calm site. There’s a shop on site for snacks etc. the showers are ok, you just have to keep pressing the buttons.

A great place to stop off for coffee and cake. Bike friendly
