Pleasant and enjoyable ride whilst taking in the sights. Early morning is best time to avoid pedestrians, walkers exercising around the lake and people walking their dogs.

Lying in a rolling Buckinghamshire landscape of arable fields, pasture and woodland, Foxcote Reservoir is the kind of place that rewards patient visitors. Tattenhoe Valley Park is a delightful place for a walk, run, cycle or horse ride, with plenty of wildlife to enjoy in the necklace of ponds splashing over rocks and providing a fantastic habitat for insect, bird and waterlife.

Nice spot to take a break from pedalling to see the lagoon. Not really suited for bikes to cycle around the lake though as the paths are narrow and many people are walking their dogs

Grebe Lake is a former clay pit which was used for the brickworks in the area. Today, it's a popular spot for fishing, boating, kayaking, and sailing. The lake borders the Calvert Jubilee Nature Reserve.

A lovely little lake on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. There's a striking sculpture, the Triple Star Head, by Romanian artist Paul Neagu, as well as wooden sculptures by Wendy Hitching. If you are hungry, there's a pub on the lakeside, as well as a BBQ area by the 'star' car park.
