There is a great trail all around the lake, but the eastern shore is so much quieter and the trails are rougher and more fun to run. The eastern shore is also quite inaccessible, other than while looping the whole lake which makes it feel like an adventure!

Coffee Couture café is well situated near the car park at Wimbleball Lake. They have plenty of space inside and tables outside, so you can enjoy the sunshine or warm up after a chilly run, depending on the weather.

Bessom Bridge gives spectacular views on both sides up and down the lake.

This dam was constructed in two phases, beginning in 1974 and completed in 1978. Due to a dry winter and the need for water during the summers of the two following years, the lake did not overflow until 1980.

This is the bridge that crosses the northernmost section of Wimbleball Lake. While it has a road, there's also a path for those of us on foot. As you cross it, there are excellent views of the lake on both sides.
