I suggest to climb it from Kazanite and the return back to Vihren hut throught Kabata
There are number of reasons for that:
1) If you climb in reverse order than you can skip Koncheto because of exhaustion and I think that Koncheto is a place that you should visit!
2) The way through Kazanite is steeper and is more inconvenient for descent (the knees!)
3) I'm sure I'm missing some reasons
Be sure that in the summer you have at least 2 liters of water because there is no water on the road and the sun shines.
Warning: Be aware that the weather can change dramatically in seconds!
You can find Edelweiss in Kazanite.
You should park you car next to Vihren hut early in the morning (7a.m.). Later in the day the parking is full and the police will close the road (next to Baikusheva mura).

This is the oldest and largest church in Melnik, dating back to the beginning of the 11th century and a metropolitan church from the 13th to the mid-18th century.
According to its design, it is a three-transept basilica with three apses, with an almost square nave and a differentiated pre-apse space surmounted by a longitudinal semi-cylindrical brick vault, with the central transept rising above the sides.
The nave is divided into three transverse septa with two rows of two columns each and dividing altar screens, connected to a solemn triumphal arch that doubles the altar apse. In the curve of the central apse conch is an imposing four-tiered seating area for the clergy, with the tive-stepped metropolitron in the center and handrails on both sides. The church features a narthex, side galleries with a water reservoir (to the north) and a bell tower (to the south), and a residential building (to the west) – all integrated into a single architectural ensemble. It features magnificent wall paintings dating back to the early 11th century.
It is a cultural monument of national importance.

The home-made fig and blueberry ice cream is praised on the internet. Unfortunately, we had no time and did not know about it, so we are (coming from the hut Pirin) to hut Yane Sandanski.
The way from here to the hut Yane Sandanski is simply breathtaking (!) Along a torrent. One should not miss this way in any case.
In winter, the hut also operates a small ski lift.

A lot of adrenaline and beautiful views when there is no fog (in the Autumn maybe). The place is windy so keep in mind that the weather may dramatically change for a minute.
You can find edelvais there but don't break it - keep it so other tourist can see it too (usually people are surrounding with stones to protect them)

The building is a massive two-story structure. It has 4 rooms, a spacious common room and a modest mountain kitchen for hikers and tourists.
The Gotse Delchev Hut was built in 1950 thanks to the tourist agency Mangurtepe in the village of Dobrinishte. The cabin has electricity and running water, the toilets are in the building.
There are two shorter ski lifts and also a ski lift from Gotse Delchev to the Bezbog hut and an associated ski slope back to the valley station. On foot you need upwards about 2.5 hours.
The cottage is privately run, so the prices are slightly higher than in the other mountain huts.

It is a BTC managed hut with 34 beds / camps. The night costs 15Lv per person. In the season, food and drink is also offered. Drinking water and toilets are outside the cottage.
During our visit in October 2018 the hut was unlocked and only secured with a wire. There was tea on the wood stove in the kitchen and there were wood, candles and matches ready. Since we had food and a spirit stove ourselves, we did not use it and are early to bed. There was no electricity.

Second highest mountain in Bulgaria, so when the weather is good you can enjoy a very far-reaching view. The section of road between the Banderitsa campsite and the Vihren hut is closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (one-way street, controlled by the police), so start as early as possible. It is also worth being at the summit around 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., otherwise, depending on the weather, clouds can cover the summit.
