Westhay Moor is one of the many important wetland reserves situated nearby to Glastonbury in Somerset. The reserve hosts a diverse range of wildlife and including marsh harriers, kingfishers, and a variety of waterfowl and wading birds, as well as otters, water voles, and several species of bats. If you love nature and wildlife then this is definitely the place for you.

A nice place to stop for a breather and a snack to prepare for the climb you're likely about to do... whichever way you go.

Quite steep and narrow uphill, really nice views over the lake and the menudo hills. Lower part is eroded and you might push your bike

Best ridden as a descent, some lovely views over Blagdon lake. Gets a bit rutted and eroded towards the end, best on a mtb

Stunning Swiss-style chocolate box chapel on the edge of pond, built in 1888. Well worth stopping but mind the traffic - it's on a national speed limit road.

Rickford Chapel is a 19th century "Swiss style" Grade II listed Methodist chapel built in 1888 which sits on the edge of Rickford Pond. Rickford Pond used to feed a paper mill and flour mill which were both built in the 18th century. The paper mill produced handmade paper until 1895 and the flour mill was unfortunately destroyed by fire. It's on the main road so take care if stopping.

Starts off with big loose stones with big steps to stop erosion so its a push up for a bit then its ride-able on hard pack with more big stones but fine
