Easy Gravel Ride with some stunning views

A great spot to check out the local waterbird life. Expect to find the likes of Canada Goose, Ring-necked Pheasant and Great Crested Grebe

Emberton Country Park is blessed with 200 acres (81 ha) of peaceful parkland and shimmering lakes. Beloved by walkers and cyclists alike, there are a number of circular trails on offer. The park also has children's play areas, picnic spots and plenty of places where you can feed the ducks.

The lakes at Castle Ashby Fishery look very inviting on a hot summers day, there is a small lodge between the two largest lakes that provide a selection of drinks and hot and cold snacks. For more information go to: https://www.castleashbyfishery.co.uk/

There is a cafe, public toilets and bike shop providing bike hire at the top of the main carpark, with open grassed areas (perfect for picnics) leading down to a childrens play area and then the main walking/cycle path around the water. To the left of the grass beside the other footpath is an accessible garden with raised beds.

Handy parking at the far end of the Reservoir gives easy access from the sixfields leisure park where there are numerous food outlets. From here you can also connect with the Northampton canal which takes you further into town or towards Hatton and Weedon Bec in the other direction.
