Redesmere Sailing Club welcomes membership enquires but isn’t open to the public. The facilities are for members’ use only.

Alderley Park is a peaceful area made up of quiet woodland, lakes, and ponds, all connected by a network of well-kept paths. Alderley Park was previously the grounds of a stately home owned by the Stanley family in the 1600s. It is now the site of a corporate centre and laboratory but it still open for the public to enjoy a stroll around.

Radnor Mere is a small lake situated in Alderley Park, not too farm from Alderley Edge in Cheshire. It's a pretty lake surrounded by trees and wildflowers and makes a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll.

Redesmere sailing club is a friendly local sailing club situated on the edge of Redesmere lake. The club hosts regular socials and provides lessons to the public.

A great walk to be had around the lake and there is also the option to hire a kayak too which is quite an enjoyable experience.

Beware of cars pulling out of houses, some of driveways are sharp and the cars have to pull out slightly to actually see what’s on the road

Redesmere is a lovely place to stop in the evening as it can provide some lovely sunsets. The climb from here is quite short but the roads are narrow so be wary of cars not wanting to give way. Once you've reached the top grab a drink looking out over the Cheshire Plains.

Nice climb from Redesmere along quiet lane to "Ron's Railings". The climb is rewarded by great views across to Jodrell Bank and the Cheshire Plain. Just be aware of other riders and cars coming down round a couple of tight narrow bends. Much better to go up than down this hill as there is a lot of gravel and sand if travelling fast. Continue on at the top to Henbury or Gawsworth, or take first right to Over Alderley via Birtles Lane.
