The Burbage valley is a lovely place to ride with far reaching views over the moors, it’s a place that isn’t difficult to ride due to its gentle gradient but in dryer conditions it’s quite fun at the bottom end as it has a flowing nature

Relatively easy gravel path, nothing too technical crossed by shallow flowing water in a few places after rain.

A beautiful secluded valley which is lovely and tranquil. Abbey Brook is home to a series of waterfalls but the path is at a much higher level with a very steep slope down to the Brook.

Lovely as either a climb or a descent. Not too technical, easily doable on a gravel bike. Beautiful scenery, especially at dusk when it catches the light just so (assuming it's not raining, that is).

coming from Derwent it can be done uphill on an e-bike. In a couple of places I really appreciated the 90nm from by Brose motor 😊. And after that a really nice long descent to Langsett.

Fantastic, rapid descent on a FS MTB - but need to pick a time when there's not many people about. Bell recommended!

Lovely ride guys, this is a great place to go for a family walk/bike ride- you could go scrambling and bouldering on the rocks and see some amazing views down to Longshaw and up onto Stanage edge.

Hopefully the bearded vulture returns .Not a well trodden path,so watch your step,lots of hidden potholes,not big ones mind!

Boggy on the final approach to the cliff,so called because of the first sighting of the bearded vulture.

Avoid if possible in anything but the driest conditions.

Starts off fairly smooth but gets a lot steeper and rockier the further you get. Take the path on your left about half-way down for a less technical descent if you are not too sure of your abilities over the roughest section.

Natural rocky descent, Loose and fast with some natural berms and features.

Rocky, challenging climb and descent, depending where you hit this from. Pinch flat territory if you're not tubeless though!

A great shortcut between Burbage Bridge and Fox House. On sunny days you can stop off at the ice cream van at Burbage Bridge for a treat.

Surprise view. Incredible view as you reach this corner from the Fox House pub direction. Keep your eyes in the road. If you're walking climb the rocks next ti the road (be careful it's a 60ft drop below. Turn left and you'll probably see lots of climbers. Follow the path and if you drop into the woods at the bottom of Padkey Gorge you're in a truly magical place.

Steep, challenging and rocky climb, loose in places. 10 points for zero dabs.

Assuming you have ridden from Howdens reservoir, you have already climbed (or pushed) up this rather steep and rocky section with a couple of hairpin bends thrown into the mix. Coming down it is crazy. Avoid the temping paths that go straight on at the top and turn left. When it gets really crazy there is another option to go straight on but again turn left and drop off a big rock into the last couple of bends. Sweet!
