It was just a small Sunday stroll but it was lovely. We parked our car at the garden centre which worth to going in too! There is a big farm shop which is lovely and not too expensive compared to if you want to get a quality product!

There are a few ponds dotted around Hardwick Park. They are primarily maintained for ecological purposes and as a natural habitat for various species of birds, fish, and aquatic plants, and are not suited to swimming. There are lots of walking trails around the ponds and opportunities for birdwatching.

Millers Pond in Hardwick Park is a picturesque spot surrounded by lush greenery. It's home to lots of wildlife and is an ideal location for a walk in nature.

Nice easy ride for all on a gravel path

Pleasley Pit Country Park is a nature reserve and historical site located on the Derbyshire-Nottinghamshire border. It was once the site of Pleasley Colliery, a coal mine that operated from the mid-19th century until it closed in 1983. The park is home to a café, lake and pleasant walking trails.

Unfortunately the stepping stones are currently (July 23) a mess. Broken stones that aren't in the right positions to be used safely to cross the brook. I don't know if it's storm damage or if someone's done it deliberately but it's not as nice as it used to be.
