A beautiful loch at the end of the alternative descent from Flowerdale Forest by the side of the Abhainn a'Garbh Choire back to the car park by the A832. The is a lovely wooded area, especially so in autumn.

Make sure you wear waterproof shoes with tread. It gets very wet and boggy after the pine forest.

A good spot to park and take a short walk to the falls. Views of the loch are good.

The Falls of Balgy are an impressive series of cascades in the Torridon region of the Highlands. There's a waymarked hike from the Torridon Hotel to access the falls and they can easily be linked with an exploration of the Aird Mhòr peninsula. The sight of salmon leaping upstream during autumn's spawning season is wonderful.

Loch Bad an Sgalaig is a small, irregular shaped, freshwater loch and reservoir lying 5 mi (8.0 km) south of the small village of Poolewe, in Wester Ross, Scotland. The north west end of the loch, where it outflows to the Eas na Laimh stream, was dammed in 1949 to power the Kerry Falls hydroelectric power station. The loch was surveyed on 30 July 1902 by T.N.
