🌳 The Friedrich-Heinrich Colliery Park in Kamp-Lintfort is an impressive example of structural change in the Ruhr region. Developed from the grounds of the 2020 State Garden Show, it now combines recreation in nature with the imposing backdrop of the former colliery.

⚒️ The Friedrich-Heinrich coal mine (later part of the Bergwerk West combined mine) in Kamp-Lintfort was one of the most magnificent and important mines in the Ruhr region. It is considered the "Pearl of the Lower Rhine" and has shaped the face of the city like no other institution.

This café and beer garden is highly recommended. Delicious, hearty food, just as you'd expect from a farm. You can sit in the rustic dining room or in one of the two garden areas.
