The Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden is 155 acres of woodlands and botanical gardens. There are several paths, both paved and unpaved, open to walkers and cyclists. The lawns and gardens are well maintained and it is a great place for a walk.

Spanning 2,291 acres, this wooded haven boasts 120-foot bluffs along 3.5 miles of riverfront, adorned with hardwood and pine trees. Its historical significance is rooted in the early 20th-century efforts of Frank O. Lowden (1861-1943), Illinois' governor from 1917-1921, who championed proper land use and reforestation. His dedication saw the planting of an estimated 500,000 trees, creating a lasting legacy.
