The arched Käkisalmi bridge, built in 1940, and the later Karinsalmi suspension bridge replaced old ferry connections and now make the narrow ridges of Pulkkilanharju easy to cross. The beach has changing rooms and toilet facilities, and lifeguards are on duty daily from 10:00 to 16:00 during the school summer holidays. Cyclists can reach the area easily and safely, and there’s space nearby to park and lock bikes.

Mukkula Manor Park beach is one of Lahti’s most popular spots for summer activities, located just 4 km from the city centre. The fine sandy beach is great for swimming and ball games, while the nearby grassy slopes are perfect for relaxing in the sun. Cyclists will appreciate the easy access via local roads or public transport, with bike-friendly paths leading to the area. There are several kiosks and cafés around, and the historic manor house adds charm to the setting.
