Whether you’re hiking through the summer greenery or gliding through a winter wonderland, Migtjønna Lake is a fantastic year-round hiking destination. The route follows a well-maintained tractor road and a clearly defined path, making for an easy and enjoyable walk. Once you arrive, you’ll find a brand-new shelter perfectly situated by the water—an ideal spot to rest and refuel. You can enjoy your packed lunch under cover or take advantage of the fire pit for a cozy outdoor break.

Spillumsvatnet is a gorgeous lake surrounded by atmospheric woodland. It is often visited on the way up Spillumsfjellet above the Namsenfjorden.

Hessjøen is a lovely little lake that makes for a great loop. It's only a short hop from Stjørdal and there's parking nearby.

Nice place to camp. However, there is a Frisbee course running through here and in the evenings lots of people come and throw their Frisbees all over the place; this went on until midnight. One of the Frisbee players said that camping is not really allowed here. Overall, I had a lovely evening and a good night here and had nice conversations with lots of passers-by. Knowing that you are not really welcome here, I would look for a different place next time.

With the bike loaded you have to push it but it's worth it

Super cool place, shelter is also equipped with enough hooks to dry your stuff. There is also a saw. I would say don't hesitate.

Great fishing facility with new houses and renovated apartments in a fantastic location right on the fjord. A dream for anglers!

Unfortunately, there was no wood. The meadows around are muddy and hardly suitable for camping. Without a free-standing tent it will be difficult, but you can hammer tent pegs between the planks of the wooden platform.
