The church of Lestards is the only one in France to have a thatched roof, with its 15th century architecture, built mainly in granite. The granite floor has well-recognizable tombstones, although the carvings that adorn them are fairly worn, and old enough that it is not known which local dignitary was buried there.

The spot is magnificent and the course has all types of courses, technical and sporty.

Small beach of Nergout, on Lake Vassivière. Supervised swimming and small snack restaurant nearby. A little further, a picnic area and the port of Nergout.

This is where five smaller country roads in the region meet. Asphalt is ok, rather rough. Little going on!

Overall, the orange roads (cf. federal highway) are in very good condition and hardly ever traveled during the week (despite the high season!). The side streets are okay in terms of asphalt.
