Lianvatnet is on the very eastern fringes of Bymarka, not too far from the city. Its grassy surroundings are great for a picnic, while the lake is a popular fishing spot, though you'll need a license. A loop of the lake takes around 40 minutes.

A lovely section of trail in Estenstadmarka, this section takes you between the lakes of Tømmerholtdammen and Estenstaddammen. From here, you can hike to the Månen viewpoint for excellent city and fjord views or head for the Burmaklippen, Trondheim's mini Trolltunga.

Theisendammen is a popular swimming spot for the folk of Trondheim. It sits at the southern end of the Ilabekken blue-green corridor, which runs from the city towards the Bymarka Reserve. You also get lovely views out towards the Trondheim Fjord.
