Plenty of coffee shops in MKT Bosworth

Market Bosworth is famously near to the site of the decisive final battle of the Wars of the Roses. The Battle of Bosworth occurred just south of the town in 1485, marking the conclusive and significant clash in the Wars of the Roses between the House of Lancaster and the House of York. This historic engagement ultimately led to the demise of King Richard III. The town is also known for its beautiful flower displays in the Leicestershire in Bloom competition.

There are narrow barriers where the trail crosses the main road. Lovely leafy trail for cyclists and hikers - be mindful of people walking dogs

Sustrans NCN Route 52 is fantastic! Try to avoid at rush hour as some drivers are a little less than courteous when overtaking

If you have very wide MTB handlebars, just twist and lift to get them through this barrier.

The tranquil Ashby Canal is so level it's famous for having no locks at all. Perfect if you are in in search of a gentle and pretty route. The canal never reached the town of Ashby that it is named after. Instead it winds peacefully through the countryside for almost the entire 22-mile length.

it seems to have space for bikes in the garden and is linked via a cyleway to it (from the Burbage direction) along the A5.

A good place to stop off and refuel should you need to after riding the hills to the south.

Brilliant cafe just off the road, with an ice cream serving boat. What more do you need on a summers day.

Great cafe - really friendly to cyclists serving hot food at great prices. We stopped here whilst on a 126 mile audax for refreshments. There are good toilets too and the staff are really friendly and accommodating

Opens at 9:30. Good selection of breakfast, lunch and cakes for such a small place! Plenty of outdoor seating for canal views.

Great little stop off if using the canal tow path through here, good food, good atmosphere, and a fantastic beer garden in the summer.
