Very nice sandy beach at the Vitsand entrance. In summer this is a very popular place for the Swedes. Ideal for delicious picnics and BBQ at the fire pits.

Super nice bay, but what should be considered for parking you need the "Parkster" app. Otherwise absolutely recommendable!

Here is a good place for a rest while you are on one of the circular routes through the national park - including a barbecue area.

Vitsand is a beautiful bathing spot with a lovely shallow sandy beach. Parking is free at the adjacent parking lot Vitsand, there are also facilities such as toilet and barbecue area (with provided fire wood).

The camping area Metesjön named after the adjacent lake is one of three overnight camping areas in Tiveden. It is easily accessible from the parking lot Metesjön (~ 300 m) and the parking lot at the main entrance (~ 800 m) and offers space for multiple tents in a designated area delineated by rope. Tents may be build up after 6 pm in the evening and have to be built down before 10 am the next morning as it is not allowed to have tents during the day. There is a fire place surrounded by some benches and a big shelter. Behind the shelter, you can find provided fire wood with an axe and saw for splitting and sawing the wood as needed. In the whole national park it is not allowed to collect any wooden materials. 50m from the fire site, there is a toilet.
