This section of the Erie Canalway Trail is flat, paved, and pretty easy biking for all ability levels. Like the majority of the path, you get continuous views of the water and have the opportunity to extend your ride for miles in both directions.

The picturesque little village of Pittsford has about 1,300 residents. But it's busier than you might expect, with lots of interesting shops and a thriving "canal district" near the Erie Canal.

Steep bend to climb Marrowback Hill but the view is worth it

It is the smallest of the Finger Lakes, and its shorelines are virtually undeveloped, so the lake is pristine and wonderful for photographing and hanging out at. Many of the other Finger Lakes are are completely developed, and the shorelines are difficult to access due to so much with private property.

This is an easy 5 miles point to point trail that is ideal if looking for a quick ride. Now as the leaves are changing - it’s awesome.

Absolutely loved this ride. There was a “fork” on the trial that you either could go into the road or stay on a path. I stayed on path and it was very undeveloped and has an extremely steep climb on rocks (had to walk/push bike). The road section was only 1/2 mile.

This is a lovely scenic bridge that takes you from the Erie Canalway Trail and trailhead on the north side to the RS&E Trail and Crescent Trail on the south side.
