Dovre Church is situated within the upper Gudbrandsdalen valley. You'll likely spot its structure from the main road as you cycle through. The church is easy to spot from the main road and it's a good chance for a break to have a rest.

Grimsdalen Landscape Conservation Area is a beautiful valley that stretches from Dovre in the west to Folldal in the east. Grimsdalen is bordered by Dovre National Park on one side of the road and Rondane National Park on the other. Along the Grimsdalsvegen there is gravel and is just as suitable for an excursion by bicycle as a day trip by car or motorbike. The road is normally open from the beginning of June to the beginning of October, and is closed in winter.
