In this small village in Tierra de Campos, the Church of San Miguel stands simple and solid, its bell tower facing the wind. Interestingly, years ago, the remains of an old wine cellar were discovered beneath its nave, used for centuries to store altar wine and provisions for the village. Some locals recall that, during festivals, the older residents would go down there to taste "the archangel's wine," as they jokingly called it. Today the cellar is closed, but the scent of stone and dampness still lingers for anyone who approaches the church.
