At the top of A Serra do Cando, on Monte Seixo, the Máxica Mountain, there is a set of rocks of capricious shapes that history and nature have sculpted. It is known as Porta do Alén or Portalén, the door of the afterlife, the door to the world of the dead. It is a megalithic complex with unique characteristics. On the one hand we have the Porta do Alén which is a set of fractured granite rocks arranged on a large flat rock. The fractured rock is in three parts separated from each other by small spaces. On one of these spaces, a large irregular rock acts as a lintel for a kind of door or window, it is called Porta do Alén, in Barcia do Seixo.
