Montehermoso is a small agricultural town in the Valle de Alagón region next to the Alagón river. Founded in the 13th century, it has become the administrative center of the region.

Pozuelo de Zarzón is a small town in the Valle del Alagón region. The most outstanding monuments in the town are the 16th century San Pedro Parish Church and the six-cross granite Calvaries that welcome travelers from Guijo de Coria.

Torrejoncillo is a small and charming typical Extremadura town with a nice square, small narrow streets and beautiful festivals.

Church of Ntra. Sra. de la Asunción, built in the 13th century, following plans of the Mudejar Romanesque of Castilla y León. Its apse is formed by two superimposed bodies of blind brick arches. The nave of this church was reformed in the 16th century.

Crowning the Jerte as it passes through the town of Galisteo, in Cáceres, you can see a medieval bridge. It was built in 1546 by order of Garcí Fernández Manrique de Lara, third Count of Osorno. That is why there are those who also call it the Manrique Lara bridge. Built with granite ashlars, it has seven arches and a temple with the image of Saint Paul.

Galisteo Wall, which still completely surrounds the old part of the town, and next to which is the homage tower known as La Picota, considered the greatest symbol of the municipality.
