Mont Vinaigre is the highest peak of the Massif de l'Esterel. The altitude information varies between 614 m (Wikipedia), 618 m (Carte touristique) and 641 m (sign on the summit). You have a very nice view in all directions. On a fore summit there is a tower and transmitters, which are blocked off by a fence.

A really nice climb that changes the landscape of the seaside a little. From Fréjus towards Mandelieu-la-Napoule, the climb is quite rolling, no particular difficulties. I advise !

The Col du Testatnier, located in the heart of the Esterel massif, culminates at 311 meters above sea level. It makes an excellent base camp for day trips, from Mont Vinaigre in the east to Lac de l'Avellan in the north.
