This place is full of trash, very dirty, a disgrace!!! The Basque mountains are not trash cans, please respect them. Too many people are behaving badly towards the pastures. Please take your trash back with you; it's disgusting and disrespectful.

A fairly difficult hike when you're not trained (which was my case) but not impossible if you take your time and go at your own pace. On the other hand, it's a very beautiful hike! The landscapes are magnificent. There are two parking lots, the Masousa parking lot and another higher up which saves 45 minutes, but the road is very bumpy.

The descent to Ibarron is a treat, perfect for progressing in MTB...

Emblematic peak of Canfranc, common at the start of the ski touring season, and recommended family outing to Ibón de Escalar in summer. It is a short, easy and beautiful ascent to Ibón de Escalar, and with a final climb to the peak only for mountaineers.

Munhoa is a peak in the French Basque Country which rises to 1,023 meters above sea level. Its toponymy finds its origin in the Basque word “muino” which means hill. From this mountain you can admire the valleys of Luzaide and Baïgorry separated by the Adartza massif.

La Rhune or “Larrun” in Basque is a summit in the Basque Country which rises to an altitude of 901 meters. La Rhune, which is accessible by train or on foot, is located on the border between France and Spain.
