Lake Krzywe (Krzywe Oleckie) is located in the Świętajno commune, next to the village of Krzywe, 13 km west of Ełk. The lake has the shape of an elongated trough. It has one small island with an area of 0.1 ha. The maximum length of the lake is 4,885 m, and the width is 730 m. The length of the shoreline reaches 12,650 m. The lake is deep. In Mazury there are also serpentines like in the mountains, maybe a little smaller but they are there. This one is near Stare Juchy on the road to Zawady Ełckie.

A beautiful old oak tree at the fork in the road. For those who don't know where to go, a stone signpost will be helpful.

In the meadow I met several groups of storks, each with several individuals. The last time I saw such a number was in August last year, but those were council meetings before departure. The photos don't show everything, but there were a lot of them.

Here is Lake Krzywe seen from above from the east. Unfortunately, there is no free access to the lake. It's a pity because the lake is very beautiful and not very "civilized".

Lake Krzywe from the south. Unfortunately, the area near the lake is fenced and there are scary signs reading "Private property. No entry allowed." Driving towards the town of Krzywe, you will have to climb quite a bit, but towards the town of Piaski the situation is similar.

The beach in Piski on Lake Łaśmiady. There is an outdoor gym and places to rest on the beach. A certain inconvenience for people who respect silence is the proximity of the district road to the beach.
