바르슈트‬에서 가장 멋진 ‪14‬개의 동굴

Lovendegem 성은 마치 동화책에서 튀어나온 듯 보입니다. 수많은 모퉁이 탑, 계단식 박공, 성가퀴가 있어 특히 사진 찍기 좋은 유산입니다. 이 지역은 사유지이며 접근할 수 없지만, 공공 도로에서 장엄한 파사드를 멋지게 감상할 수 있습니다. 이곳의 역사는 13세기로 거슬러 올라가며, 당시 이곳에는 이미 Lovendegem 영주들의 요새화된 성탑이 있었습니다. 수세기에 걸쳐 이 지역은 여러 차례 소유주가 바뀌었고 성은 계속 확장되었습니다. 17세기에는 Ghent의 기사 Joos Triest가 북쪽 별관과 예배당 등을 포함하여 성을 크게 확장했습니다. 이후 수 세기 동안 이 지역에 거주했던 Dons de Lovendeghem 가문의 손에 들어갔습니다. 오늘날 볼 수 있는 낭만적인 모습은 주로 1858년에서 1888년 사이의 대대적인 개조 공사 중에 만들어졌습니다. 건축가 Paulus Van Kerkhove는 오래된 핵에 현재의 절충주의적이고 동화 같은 모습을 부여했습니다. 주변 환경도 가볼 만합니다. 성 앞에는 약 1.5km에 달하는 인상적이고 보호받는 참나무 가로수길이 있으며, 이 길은 Brugse Vaart까지 직선으로 이어집니다. 아쉽게도 안을 볼 수는 없지만, 길에서 이미 마음껏 꿈을 꿀 수 있는 성입니다.

1491년, 라봇(Rabot) 건설이 완료되었습니다. 강화된 수문은 리에베(Lieve)와 도시 해자의 교차점에 위치했습니다. 리에베는 그쪽에서 아직 퇴적되지 않은 즈윈(Zwin)과 더 나아가 바다로 연결되었습니다. 1860년, 도시 방향의 벽돌 날개가 철거되었습니다. 1872년, 도로 높이가 높아지고 리에베는 폐쇄되었습니다. 그동안 헨트(Ghent)는 이미 오래전에 바다로 가는 다른 통로를 확보했습니다.

The Rabot is a fortified lock dating from 1491 with two imposing towers, built after the siege of Ghent. It gave its name to the Rabot district and is one of the city's most striking heritage sites.

Originally, this castle was the seat of the Lords of Lovendegem, initially the Van Lovendegem family, known from the 13th or 14th century. In 1462, the lordship passed to Philip the Good, who was also Count of Flanders. The castle's contents were sold by Emperor Charles V between 1550 and 1552, and ultimately, the lordship was sold to Knight Joos Triest. In 1700, it passed to Gillis Dons, who was elevated to baron in 1716 and changed the family name to Dons de Lovendeghem. The castle remained in the family's possession for centuries. In 1918, Baron I. Dons de Lovendeghem was murdered here. A memorial chapel has been erected at the site of the baron's murder. The actual castle was probably originally a keep with a small house. In the 17th century, Joos Triest added a northern wing with a chapel. In 1721, the right wing and a new facade were built at the behest of Gillis Dons. The castle was further modified in 1858 and 1888. The fully moated building and the surrounding park are not open to the public. You can only admire this truly captivating castle from Kasteeldreef. The Claeys-Boúúaert Domain is rich in nature. In the grasslands you will find many mushrooms. In the forest grow typical forest plants such as Solomon's seal, musk herb and lily of the valley.

Beautiful castle in eclectic style. Unfortunately not open to the public, but can be admired from a distance.
