9월 20, 2024, Simms Waterfall Via Ferrata
The start of the via ferrata can be reached from Holzgau in about half an hour. It is divided into three routes of varying difficulty levels, which can be easily combined with one another: the chamois (B/C), the ibex (C+) and the eagle route (D/E). A highlight is certainly the crossing of the roaring Simms waterfall using a total of three rope bridges. A via ferrata experience that is absolutely recommended!👌

One of the few moments where you can see the Lech during the E5 hike. There is also a beautiful covered wooden bridge for pedestrians over the Lech.

The panoramic trail runs along the slope above Holzgau towards the stream. This takes you across beautiful hillside meadows above the Lech and offers beautiful views of the valley and the surrounding mountains. A clear advantage over a hike along the valley floor.

10월 10, 2023, Simms Waterfall Via Ferrata
What this highlight means is the Simms Waterfall. It can be reached through the right side of the valley via a good gravel path towards Rossgumpenalm/Café Uta, so you can observe the waterfall from close up. It was created artificially in the 19th century by the Englishman Frederic Simms through blasting. The waterfall is about 30 m high and is fed by the Höhenbach. There are many hikers on the route, most of whom want to go to the Holzgau suspension bridge.
