The Observatoire des étangs du Romelaëre is a beautiful spot in the nature reserve of the étangs du Romelaëre in Clairmarais. From the observatory you can enjoy the serene environment and the diverse birds that can be found in the ponds around. It is an ideal place to enjoy nature, take photos or just relax. The observatory offers a panoramic view of the ponds and the wealth of flora and fauna that the area is home to.

The Réservé Naturelle Nationale des Étangs du Romelaëre is a beautiful nature reserve located in Clairmarais, Saint-Omer and Nieurlet. This reserve, which covers approximately 108 hectares, is a remnant of an old peat cutting from the 19th century. The area consists of ponds, canals, bridges and chain pits, and offers a rich diversity of flora and fauna.

The Marais de Maroeuil is a swamp area of approximately 20 hectares in the municipality of Maroeuil. It is a protected natural area managed by the Conservatoire d'espaces naturels des Hauts-de-France. The swamp is home to a rich and varied flora and fauna, including the fumeterre, a rare species of orchid.
