A detour from here to Volkenroda Monastery, about 15 km by bike, is also worthwhile. The local butcher shop, located directly on the main road, provides excellent supplies (e.g., Thuringian sausage).

The Böhmenteich (Bad Langensalza) is a pond in Thuringia near Bad Langensalza. The water is heavily fished and is rated as a top water by members of the Anglers' Association.
