Nice little rest area. Good for a rest

A unique building in Europe, the Veyrac dovecote bridge was built on the Glanet in the 17th century and depended on an old castle. Comprising five arches, it is built on two levels. The first level provided access to the left bank on which the castle orchard was located. The second level was the dovecote, entered through a trap door.

Small Limousin village, at the foot of the Monts de Blond and at the gates of Limoges. Good start of the walk! Church of Saint-Léger from the 12th century and Halles from the 18th century.

At that time the pond was filled with water lilies in bloom, and its well-maintained surroundings resembled an English garden.

There is a campsite and an interesting porcelain factory to visit near this rest area, including a factory outlet.

Local curiosity, unique in France, built in the 17th century, it was listed as a historical monument in 1975. It has housed up to 40,000 pigeons.
