Going around the lake is easy and relaxing

Lake Canterno is the heart of the Nature Reserve which takes its name from it.

Both the provincial road that passes alongside it and the dirt roads that surround it on the opposite side are very beautiful.

It is also called the 'City of the Cyclops' due to the presence of the Acropolis of Civita, one of the greatest examples of the megalithic cities of Lazio. It was one of the main centers of the Italic people of the Ernici.

It is the largest karst lake in Lazio. Bagna Ferentino, Fumone, Fiuggi and Trivigliano. It has a maximum depth of 25m. It is surrounded by oak, Turkey oak and deciduous woods and allows visitors to admire the gray heron, the purple heron and the moorhen.

This lake is of karst origin, with a depth between 13 and 25 meters. It is not suitable for swimming. Its measures are approx. 1.7 km long and 700 m wide. Herons, rallies, ducks and grebes can be observed.
