Stampede Pass stands on the border of King County and Kittitas County, just a few yards east of the crossing of the Pacific Crest Trail over Forest Road 54. At an elevation of 3,672 feet, the pass was historically an important part of the Northern Pacific Railway.

To reach this point involves an intense climb, covering over 2000 feet of elevation change in about 3 miles. The effort is rewarding, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. The terrain is steep and rocky, so be sure to wear appropriate shoes for this hike.

Blewett Pass sits at an elevation of 4,124 feet in the Wenatchee Mountains, between Wenatchee Valley and Kittitas Valley. The pass is popular among outdoor enthusiasts for hiking, camping and cycling.

There are two obvious peaks you might climb from this saddle: The very scrambly Teanaway Peak to the north — not recommended for those who don't love routefinding on loose, steep rock — or the much friendlier Iron Peak to the south.

The views from Navaho Pass are stellar, and this makes a fine destination. But if you have the energy to continue up the steep (but very doable) direct path to Navaho Peak, you can look forward to even better 360-degree views of the surrounding peaks.

You have just mastered a hard climb, so take your time and rest below Cathedral Rock at this pass. There are really nice campsites for at least four tents in the area.
