The Church of San Gabriel is a Catholic church in Alicante, located in the Enrique López Vidal Square in the San Gabriel district. The parish was founded in 1947 by decree of José García y Goldaraz, bishop at the time of the diocese of Orihuela-Alicante. In doing so, the parish separated from the parish to which it had belonged until then, namely that of San Juan Bautista in the Benalúa district. The church was built according to the project of the diocesan architect Antonio Serrano Peral,34 who also designed other churches in Alicante, such as those of Nuestra Señora de Gracia, that of La Misericordia and that of the Virgen del Rosario. The church is dedicated to the Archangel Gabriel.
