About as flat as it gets out this way. Traffic free.

Easy flat trail, full of wildlife.

It takes effort to ride through this section, the surfaces are slightly rugged so traction and drive are less. It is manageable but you might be swetting at the end

This section runs adjacent to a small burn. There were maybe 20 people at different points along this pass, it is popular with dog walkers. There are quite a lot of walk boards that are elevated where you will need to dismount and lift the bike over

The Multi-User Trail loops Goss Moor nature reserve, it's a mostly off-road walking, running, cycling and horse riding trail. The whole loop is about 7 miles (12 km) but this is just the southern section. Goss Moor is the largest mire complex in south-west Britain and consists of important areas of peatland and lowland heath.

Cornwalls industrial heritage at its finest! Fabulous peaceful valley with a lovely tranquil atmosphere. Be aware if leaving the road to explore the trails it does get extremely muddy when it's been raining!

On a clear day the views are awesome! Unfortunately being Cornwall you'll normally be getting soaked to the bone as the rain comes in sideways...

Nice flat multi-use track. Tarmac for the 1st half then hard parked gravel for the rest. Suitable for road bikes, at least I ride it with my 28mm tyres without any issues.

Always wet n windy, wrap up warm!

Between London Apprentice and Pentewan runs the disused Pentewan Railway Line. It is now a flat traffic free trail of around 4.5km in one direction so makes the perfect place to run at a consistent pace. It also makes a great way to link St Austell with the coast path for a longer run. As it is so flat it is either a great warm up or warm down after a hilly coast run.

Linking Helman Tor in the north down towards Lanlivery, this is a great track along the tops that forms part of the Saint's Way long distance hiking trail. The Saint's Way links Padstow and Fowey, and is thought to be the ancient route of travelling Christians linking mainland Europe with Wales and Ireland. Though it is not a designated bridleway, cycling is permitted along here.

You can manage this with a road bike but a gravel or XC mountain bike will be way more fun.

The most easterly section of the Goss Moor gravel tracks, the Tregoss Moor is the most open of them all. After the sharp and steep lanes approaching this area from Bodmin, it comes as a delightful reprieve; mostly flat or downhill, with far-reaching views and plentiful moorland wildlife to seek out.

An absolutely magical stretch of shared cycleway and footpath that follows the River Par on what was once an old tramway. You're surrounded by reminders of the Luxulyan Valley's historic past, with crumbling buildings, chimneys and Treffry's Viaduct which were all used in clay extraction here. Today, the route is blissfully peaceful, though the river does flow with quite some force alongside the path. Look out for dippers here.

Treffry's Viaduct was used as a tramway and for carrying water across the Luxulyan valley. This was built in the 19th century by Joseph Thomas Treffry, owner of the Fowey Consols Mine. This impressive engineering project stands at 90ft tall and 670ft in length. Water carried across the viaduct was used to power the nearby Carmears Wheel. The viaduct is built with local stone from nearby quarries, which were linked by tramways to the viaduct.
