The last kilometer is tough, so sturdy footwear is a must. In windy weather, you should be careful on the descent, as the wind will occasionally catch you.

This hike should be done in sunny weather with little wind. If trade wind clouds obscure the summit, you won't see anything.

A strenuous trail, especially the final stretch is very steep. Not for beginners, but worth the effort!

A lovely walk. Nice, high mountain, great for beginners as it is an easy slope all the way up ! Just stay within the fences and signage indicating steep cliffs. Fabulous views to Cofete. I will do the coast path on that side one day....

Again and again, impressive views open up over the barrancos (ravines) and down to the coast.

Shortly before the summit you pass an arela that is fenced in to protect the vegetation from the goats. It's amazing how much greenery you find here!

BE CAREFUL when climbing up here! In the photo you can see a small rock in front and a large rock behind it. The path initially leads RIGHT around the front rock. But then DO NOT go right at the large rock behind, as is often recommended and as it initially appears! The path disappears there and you end up in a pile of rubble from which you can only get back to the main path by a laborious and dangerous climb. INSTEAD - even if there is no path visible there at first - PLEASE GO AROUND THE UPPER BLOCK OF ROCK TO THE LEFT! Watch out for the cairns! After a short while you will then come to a well-passable mountain path that leads to the main path from Morro Jable.
