The Lires estuary is the smallest of the Galician estuaries, so much so that many people do not know it. Located in the heart of the Costa da Morte, between the capes of Touriñán and Finisterre, the Castro River opens to the sea after passing through the small town of Lires. At low tide you can cross to the other side, where Nemiña beach opens out to the sea, very popular with surfers.
