The hotel is a wonderful starting point for hikes. Several hiking trails run past the hotel and the adjacent restaurant. The adjacent parking lot can also be used as a hiking parking space (for a fee).

Beautiful trail! Surefootedness and sturdy footwear are required. The trail is not suitable for bicycles, strollers, or wheelchairs.

In the red box you will find a “summit book” for the long-distance hiking trail that runs there.

A great rest area right next to Kongens Utsikt. Here you'll find a covered bench, which also serves as a shelter for the night if necessary.

This is a Norwegian “sæter” – a traditional alpine or summer hut, typically used in the forests or mountains.

The cabin belongs to the DNT Oslo og Omegn organization, the Oslo and surrounding area branch of the Norwegian Trekking Association (DNT). DNT operates a network of hikers' cabins (called "turisthytter") throughout Norway, some of which are staffed and some of which are unmanned. The "Jørgenhytta" is one of these cabins. Its style, with its dark wooden facade and green-painted windows, is typical of many DNT cabins.

A beautiful vantage point overlooking the fjord. From the hiking parking lot at the hotel, it's a short hike that's also doable with children.
