The waterfall and the mills with their canals are truly impressive. The hiking trails were quite difficult, with trees lying across the path and lots of roots. Definitely a worthwhile destination.

The Eder mill is part of the mill hiking trail (path no. 61) The mill (square block with pitched roof) was built about 1540 and was in operation until about 1954. The delivery of the grain with the ox team was very difficult on the narrow way. The grain had to be carried the last piece. During the war, the farmer's wife ground. Since the allocation of water (gutters) for a woman was very tedious, constructed a neighbor a turbine with generator, which unfortunately did not work. So the mill wheel was still driven by water. In the cozy Mühlkammerl, millet dumplings were served to the delight of the children.

The Eder mill is part of the mill hiking trail (path no. 61) The ridge tree reveals that the Gmachlmühle was built in 1742. It was in operation until around 1955. The so-called mill chamber was equipped with, among other things, a table, bed and oven. The grain was brought to the mill with a team of oxen over the Wieselberg. Rye and wheat were mostly ground for baking bread. Oats were broken for livestock feed. It could only be ground if there was enough water. The farmer often spent the night there because it took 6-8 grinding processes to grind rye into rye flour and this took up to 24 hours.
