In McLeod Ganj, feel free to approach the monks and discuss philosophy together in the temple courtyard. Inspiration for both sides. Afterward, enjoy a Tibetan apple pie that tastes similar to grandma's Swabian apple pie.

Best to wear good footwear. Easy to find the way. You can swim at the waterfall, there are multiple spots. You can come with a tuktuk or taxi to the starting point, or just walk. You walk the same path back. Some cafés are on the way.

12월 21, 2022, Taleju Temple
Taleju Temple was built in 1671 during the reign of King Srinivasa Malla, the fifth Malla ruler of Patan to honour the female royal deity, Taleju Bhawani. The goddess served as the Malla kings' tutelary deity as her secret mantra was thought to ensure uninterrupted royal rule and was passed from one king to his successor only when death appeared imminent. Taleju Temple stands in the northeast corner of the Mul Chowk (main courtyard) of the palace and includes a three-tier octagonal roof, whereas Degutale Temple, another manifestation of Taleju, stands in the northwest corner. Degutale and Taleju temples are often mistaken for one another. https://www.orientalarchitecture.com/sid/548/nepal/patan/taleju-temple

12월 21, 2022, Taleju Bell
In front of Mul Chowk, on the other side of the street, on a brick base is a stand with a huge bell dedicated to the goddess Taleju. It was erected by King Vishnu Malla in 1737, the same year as the corresponding bell in Bhaktapur. It was rung during worship at the temples and could also be used to sound an alarm. Some accounts assert that petitioners could ring it to alert the king to their grievances.

12월 21, 2022, Bhimsen Temple
The Bhimsen Temple is the northernmost of the major monuments in the Mangal Palace Square. Dedicated to Bhimsen, the god of trade among the Newars, the monument is of uncertain age but was rebuilt in 1682 by Shrinivas Malla following a fire. Later reconstructions took place in 1934, following the great earthquake, and again in 1967. Although the temple was significantly damaged in the April 2015 earthquake, it reopened in early 2022 after a thoroughgoing reconstruction that retained much material from its pre-earthquake form. https://www.orientalarchitecture.com/sid/1628/nepal/patan/bhimsen-temple-of-lalitpur
