This quiet road runs through the forest for several kilometers. It offers a pleasant coolness in hot weather. It overlooks the Saôlon and the Resaigne, two rivers located on either side of the woods.

The Saôlon is a tributary of the Saône. 71 kilometers long, this river rises about ten kilometers from here, north of Culmont.

Grenant is a small commune in the Haute-Marne department, in the Grand Est region, in France. It has about 150 inhabitants and is located on the Plateau de Langres, on the river Le Salon. It is a rural commune with many forests and farmland. It also has some historical monuments, such as a 16th century church. Grenant is also the 62nd stop of Siegeric towards Rome.

Small corner hidden in the hollow of a valley in the forest. On the east side there is a path joining Le Foultot and Torcenay, on the west side there is a big steep slope joining the Chalindrey-Les Loges road.

The château of la Rochelle is particularly picturesque at the end of the Rigotte valley. The creek rises directly below the chateau and is set in a spring pool.
