A lonely peak with breathtaking views of the bay and a large stretch of the east coast—all the way up to Corsica. The path to the top is mostly easy, but the last 50 meters are almost pathless. This requires some scrambling. However, the terrain isn't particularly difficult, and there are no exposed sections.

I recommend avoiding the trail leading to Poggio Stefano to avoid the risk of being reported. The trail lies within a protected area, and accessing it without authorization from the National Park is considered a criminal offense under the Presidential Decree of May 17, 1996. The same applies to anyone hiking the trail to Cala Coticcio without an authorized guide.

Torre del Falcone is an incredible highlight, from here you have a wonderful view over the turquoise bay of La Pelosa, the Torre de Pelosa, the island of Piana and across to the Isola dell'Asinara, out to the open sea, as well as the east and west coasts of Stintino and the narrow headland across to Porto Torre.

The described starting point or access to the national park is not possible as shown (the gates are locked). Entrance is available for a fee (€9 per person) only at the "main entrance" near Villa Romana (as of June 9, 2025).

Definitely a challenging climb on concrete ramps (never a good sign when it comes to slope, but at least the surface is perfect), but the view and the tranquility are worth the effort.
