On the River Ure in Wensleydale you have the quaint village of Aysgarth, and from here you have access to Aysgarth Falls. The falls comprise a series of three waterfalls, Upper, Mid, and Lower. If you wish to see the falls on the south side of the river, then there is a good walk from Aysgarth via beautiful St. Oswalds Church.

Wonderful cafe with great food. High above the gorge, it has glass floor panels where you can see the river beneath. Well worth a stop.

It's Nidderdale, but it sure feels like you were in the actual Dales. The wind-swept, heather-surrounded summit (453m) gives fantastic views, particularly of Little Whernside, but look in any direction and you will be happy.

A fabulous series of three small cascading waterfalls. Easy to look at right there from the south bank of River Ure; places like this are a sustenance for the soul. There are easy spots here to sit down on the grass or rocks to enjoy this spectacle and slow the life down.

Located in the village of West Burton, Cauldron Falls are available for enjoyment by just about anyone - it's an easy walk right from the village. It is a beautiful spot - it was, in fact, one of the spots painted by Turner on his travels in the Dales.

Yore Bridge spans the River Are at the Asygarth Falls. The bridge was built in 1539 and has a span of 71 feet.

May not be the highest waterfalls but definitely worth a visit. There are three set of falls which are all marked on the information boards.

The falls can get really busy with people mooching. Try and avoid weekends and holidays if this bothers you. Would recommend starting a walk away from the falls and adding them to the walk , then you can utilise the cafe
