The cypress lake is part of the English landscape park in the castle park. Originally circular, it has silted up and grown over in many places over the years. Bald cypress trees actually come from southeastern North America and can grow up to 35 meters tall. This bald cypress is estimated to be around 100 years old. This is still a very young age for the tree, as bald cypresses can live up to 1000 years. Bald cypresses not only shed their needle leaves in autumn, but also entire branches.
