The Blechhammerweiher (Hammerwoog) is colloquially just called Blechhammer. It is located in a nature reserve which is also the most beautiful local recreation area together with the Vogelwoog with restaurants to the west. At the eastern end of the pond is the Hotel Blechhammer with a restaurant (but no longer open since 2020). Furthermore, the naval comradeship clubhouse. The Hammerweiher is still a little to the east but hidden by trees. The two names are based on the fact that there was once a hammer mill here that produced sheet metal. At the same time, the Barbarossa cycle path runs through the valley past the two main ponds. Unfortunately, depending on the time of year, the quality of the surface of the path is not that good.

We were totally thrilled by this small idyllic bathing pond. There is a parking lot, playground, kiosk with beer garden, toilet and changing rooms and a non-swimmer area. There is no lifeguard, but also no ticket booth here 😉👍!

very nice coffee to linger! Delicious food, homemade cakes, delicious ice cream for dessert !! enjoy a beautiful terrace at sunset. At Uwe you get everything !! If you like honey, you can buy homemade honey from Uwe. It also has an adjoining room for parties that can be rented !!

Beautiful view of the lake in the evening at sunset !! There is a very nice beer garden at the Vogelwoog Art Cafe, where you can find delicious food and ice cream. You have to try the honey at Uwe's art coffee. He is so great !! On some weekends there is live music from Uwe !! There is also a beautiful forest playground for the little rascals. Very nice place to end the evening. Around the Vogelwoog you can go jogging and hiking very well. And if you want to do a bigger round, you still run around the metal hammer.
